What farm-living looks like at the Canfield Fair

Over Labor Day, we loaded up the kiddos and visited the Canfield Fair, close to Cleveland, Ohio.

Local farmers brought out all their blue and red ribbon best.

Giving us an up close and personal peek into farm living.

A little too-personal, if you know what I mean…

With all the pinching and prodding that went on under neath that cow, I’m surprised no one got kicked in the head.

Mom was also surprised when both boys managed to remain inside the flying kangaroo after spending the entire ride jockeying for position. And yes, we’re sticking to our story that the large crack in the kangaroo’s head appeared to be a pre-existing condition.

However by the time we got to the bumper cars

…and merry-go-round, there were smiles all around.

And our joy almost exploded when we got to observe a sheep shearing. It’s the little things, you know?

Thank you, Canfield Fair for our hands-on tour of Ohio! This city girl had a blast, even if she had to hose down her flip flops when she got home.

“Be patient, then, brothers, until the Lord’s coming. See how the farmer waits for the land to yield its valuable crop and how patient he is for the autumn and spring rains.”

James 5:7
