Farmhouse treasures

So far, farmhouse living is the life for me.

You get to enjoy lovely rooms with views (ten points if you spot the itty bitty cardinal!)

You get to turn your entry into a mudroom

…because most of your guests will need coat racks and boot trays.

You get to collect cute farmhouse kitsch, like this honey jar my mother gave me as a house warming gift…

…and this lantern I bought from Dayspring.

But the best part of living in a “farmhouse” is you get to enjoy the treasures of the “farm.”

Dear Lord, your Word tells us the house of the righteous contains great treasure (Prov. 15:6). As we shape and prepare our farmhouse, please also shape my own heart to prepare it for you. As much as I delight in decorating and organizing, how much more should I desire the treasures found only in you through your son, Christ Jesus. Make our home a house adorned by holiness. Amen.

“Your statutes, LORD, stand firm; holiness adorns your house for endless days.”

Psalm 93:5
